Safety & Security

Tint is built to keep you safe — and a few habits keep you safer still. Here’s how to look after yourself on and off the app.

Last updated 1 July 2026 If you’re in danger, contact local emergency services

Our commitment

Safety isn’t a feature on Tint — it’s the foundation. Profile verification, a strict no-nudity policy, proactive moderation and zero tolerance for abuse are all built in, so the community stays welcoming and real.

Verification
The gold check confirms real people.
No nudity
Safe-for-community by default.
Zero tolerance
Abuse and exploitation get banned.

Verify & look for the check

Verify your own profile to earn the gold check — it tells others you’re real. When you’re browsing, look for the check on profiles too, and be cautious with anyone who refuses to verify or video chat.

Protect your privacy

  • Keep conversations on Tint until you genuinely trust someone.
  • Don’t share your home or work address, financial details, or photos that could out you.
  • Be wary of anyone rushing to move to another app or platform.

Scams & sextortion

Never send money — or intimate images
If someone you just matched with asks for money, gift cards, crypto or explicit photos, it’s a red flag. Stop, don’t pay, and report them.

Watch for fast-moving romance, investment or crypto pitches, and pressure to take things private quickly. If you’re ever threatened with the release of private images (sextortion), don’t comply — report it to us and to your local authorities. You haven’t done anything wrong.

Before you meet

  • Video chat first to confirm they are who they say.
  • Tell a friend who you’re meeting, where and when.
  • Trust your instincts — if something feels off, it’s okay to cancel.

Meeting in person

  • Meet in a public place the first few times.
  • Arrange your own transport there and back.
  • Stay in control of your drinks and belongings.
  • Share your live location with a friend.

Report & block

You can block or report anyone in one tap from their profile or your chat. Reports are confidential and reviewed by our team. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, then report to us at support@tintdating.com.
